Taxidermy Finishing Workshop

Its the little details that make your mount come to life. Have you taken a taxidermy workshop and want to learn how to make it pop? Are you uncomfortable using apoxie sculpt and don’t know where to begin? Join us March 22nd from 10am-Noon to approach this detailed work.

The Finishing Workshop will answer questions on removing tape/thread/ pins that were applied during the mounting stage, getting comfortable with apoxie sculp, learning different painting techniques. Studio will provide tools and materials. You bring your cured taxidermy mount that is incomplete from a taxidermy workshop.

*This class does not cover base, habitat, refurbishment, or repair.

**If students want to finish a taxidermy mount that was not created with E. Putnam Studio in a previous course, student must seek approval. All specimens must have legal proof of purchase or sourcing. Workshops purchased before approval of unaccepted mounts can use their fee towards other classes.

***Students without a mount are able to audit or purchase an unfinished mount from E. Putnam Studio and learn the methods.

Cancelation Policy

E. Putnam Studio is a small business and is unable to refund the class fee in the event of a cancellation. There is a lot of time and preparation that is put into each class or workshop. Once a sea is purchased, specimens and materials are purchased, prepared, and paid for.

If you need to cancel, you can pass your seat to another person and provide their information or use the purchase toward another workshop.

Showing up 20 minutes late or more to a class is considered a No Show.

Right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
